RANDOM MUSINGS OF RAPT (RAPPED?) MINDS – 6/11/2015
Why do we call them “the Left?” Unfortunately, almost none of them have … yet!
See: Alec Baldwin, George Clooney, Barbara Streisand, Susan Sarandon, Sean Penn, Edward Norton, Bob Hoskins and even Kanye West and a host of other “little people” and “American workers.”
Speaking of Democrats, here, we’re talking cultural Democrats (aka “Occupy Democrats”), not democratic Democrats. Have you seen their latest line on Facebook? Here it is (left, below) as posted by a friend whose name I’ve deleted.
Aren’t these poor, outraged and ashamed folks the same Michael Moore/George Soros-financed-“Occupy” boots on the ground who, for a couple of years, have slept on the streets, defecated on the sidewalks and used other childish antics to disrupt daily life in the cities, all to emphasize the narcissistic point that they are the disenfranchised 99%? “Standing up for the little guys!” Ha! I remember personally having hope, early on, that they might bring about a better America. Foolish me! How in the world does the majority = disenfranchised?!
ASIDE: Just now spotted the Freudian slip on the Occupy Dems’ poster: “ … America’s first African-American president.” Does this mean the Occupy Democrats are closet birthers who really do believe he WAS born in Kenya? 😉
“Occupy Democrats” – Note that their monicker connotes hostility, takeover, unwillingness to openly and honestly debate. Whiners.
Obama’s alleged mistreatment: Where is the law or statute, moral or religious imperative that says the first Black American president is entitled to special treatment because of his ethnicity? Here’s a Columbia University grad with a Harvard Law degree, a string of wealthy chums like convicted felon Tony Rezko (who shepherded the Obama purchase of their million dollar house in Chicago’s Hyde Park). This president has financing from billionaire George Soros, Bill Ayers and the Annenberg Foundation, who bought him for the presidency, yet he’s sniveling about the “racists” (aka EVERYONE who disagrees with him). We didn’t give the first American peanut-farming president such protection, even if he was a cracker from Georgia. Who says any president, gets a free pass on his administration? Richard Nixon and Jimmy Carter are both still hoo-hah’d even though the first is long dead and the second left office over 30 years ago.
Politics is politics, and for better or worse, verbal abuse, disparaging cartoons and daily ridicule are part of the turf for the American president, always have been. Presidents are judged, first, based on their performance in office. But they are daily targets of the press, news talking heads, and Joe the Plumber. See Abraham Lincoln and successors. But now it’s “racism” if spoken against BO and MO, First Man and First Lady? How so? He expects to garner respect despite their repeated public expressions of disrespect for our nation; their continuous fanning of racial strife in Boston, Baltimore, Ferguson and other places?
Oh, you don’t like “BO and MO” because they’re disrespectful terms, right? What about “Dubyah?” You DID like that one, didn’t you? The constant lampooning and fun-poking at his and his dad’s big ears, their Texas drawl, and the national ridicule about his being dumb as a stump compared with Al Gore, right? You do like frequent ridicule about the horrible mess he left for BO, don’t you?
Just like you enjoyed the guffaws about Ronald Reagan’s “trickle-down” economics. If you enjoyed that, I’d bet you watch Chris Matthews’ daily foaming-at-the-mouth rant on Hardball and Keith Olbermann’s trash-talk wherever he can keep a job this week. And if “BO & MO” references offend you, you probably watch Rachel the Mad Cow (oops! Maddow). Jon Stewart on The Daily Show was your major news source, huh? What’ll you do now that he’s retired?
But no racism involved in lampooning those former presidents because they are/were White men? Hmm: White men don’t belong to a race? Well, here’s a cartoon from today’s version of one of the “LIBERAL” rags, USAToday, (a friend calls it a “fishwrapper”). Coincidentally, it is an Obama advocacy group disguised as a newspaper. Wonder why it broke ranks? Lost hope?
That is the nicest rendering of “Dubyah’s” likeness I’ve ever seen in a liberal newspaper, but he still looks foolish.
But surely the cartoon must be racist because it criticizes BO — who looks even more foolish!
“Respect the Office of President of the United States of America?” ALWAYS AN IMPERATIVE!
“Respect the person who sits in the First Chair regardless of his policies?” NOT SO FAST THERE, PAL!
Speaking of Kanye West, have you heard this quote of his? “I feel like I’m too busy writing history to read it.”
BWA-HA-HA-HA-HA! Really, Kanye?! If he’s writing history, we can safely burn all the books! On the other hand, to lately hear BO describe his own presidential legacy, maybe Kanye DID write it!
A couple more ‘Kanyes’:
We can tell how long you studied English, bro!
Yeah, I know: OOPS! “Racism!” Unfair to criticize a black man, huh? After all, the Liberals who stand for freedom and liberty will come at me again with their restraint of free speech: “You speak from a ‘Caucasian male privilege’ there, Michael.” [Yep! From a friend yesterday, in response to my criticism of the current POTUS.] Suggestion: See Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, and a rapidly-growing body of other eminent black scholars, professionals, politicians and citizens.
“LIBERAL.” Here’s what another of my liberal Facebook friends posted as a definition:
“I.a. 1. Possessing or manifesting a free and generous heart; bountiful. 2. Appropriate and/or fitting for a broad and enlightened mind. 3. Free from narrowness, bigotry or bondage to authority or creed. II.n 1. Any person who advocates liberty of thought, speech or action.”
I sincerely believe it about the man who posted it. Problem is, that definition is largely lost on most modern-day, self-proclaimed ‘liberals.’ They are the antithesis of what they preach. When you say you’re ‘liberal’ and simultaneously act to circumscribe the free speech, freedom of association, freedom of worship, freedom to even exist, freedom to draw cartoons of someone, freedom to own firearms within the meaning of the Second Amendment, freedom to speak an opinion about an Al Sharpton or a Barack Obama without automatically being labeled a “racist,” etc., ad infinitum, then the dictionary denotation of ‘liberal’ is not accurate. It is overwhelmed, ab initio and de facto, by your actions to hinder, to limit the freedom and liberty of your target. It’s the connotation of ‘liberal’ that then applies to you: “One who, through grand words, promises and speeches, along with a lot of whining about injustice, etc., tries to limit anything you do that disagrees with her/him.”
Well, enough cartoons for the day!
As citizen voters, we can —
(a) openly support the continued hijacking and degradation of our government and principles, as did 1930s Germany under Hitler’s National Socialist Party (NAZI);
(b) stand dumbly and hopefully by, as do the Russians, traditionally — and, for that matter, as did a huge portion of the Jews who found their way into Nazi death camps; or
(c) openly, stalwartly and continuously resist the takeover and insist on restoring freedom, order and decency in our nation. I.e., “our lives, our fortunes, our sacred honor.”
I know which choice I’m making. Which will it be for you?
Carpe diem. Vita brevis!
